Synthetic media is getting better faster than most people's instincts. OneIsFake is a fast, playful way to keep your eye trained — real photo or AI generation, one round at a time.
Why we made it
Every week the tells get subtler: hands look right, skin looks right, the light looks right. Reading a headline or a portrait critically is becoming a skill rather than an instinct. OneIsFake turns that skill into practice — short rounds, immediate feedback, and a score that tells you honestly how well you can still tell the difference.
Who builds it
OneIsFake is designed, built and operated by Waybound.ai. Waybound designs, builds and deploys custom software using its own in-house proprietary technology, on the premise that shipping stable enterprise software shouldn't take months or years.
Their process runs in three steps:
- Define — the system is mapped in a single session, not weeks of discovery.
- Build — Crowdbuilder, Waybound's in-house agentic development platform, drives AI and engineers to construct the full product.
- Deploy — live, scalable and production-ready.
OneIsFake is a public demonstration of that approach: a complete, playable product built at the speed of thought.
How the content works
Real photographs come from licensed sources and remain the property of their photographers. AI images are generated by us specifically for side-by-side comparison, never to misrepresent a real person or event. Nothing you play is used to train a model.
